While my faith is strong, I would not. I would believe that it was Satan and not truly of God. Which makes the story of Abrahams faith extremely powerful to me. He was given a command from God to test his faith and his faith was made even stronger through his obedience. I would fail that test but I do know that I would also be forgiven. We are tested all the time with far less then sacrificing our loved ones yet still fail very often. Yet, we are forgiven if our faith remains strong through our failures. In a way, many people do sacrifice their children for love or lust of material things, drugs, etc.. The story of Abraham is an extreme case of faith testing including in scripture to demonstrate to later generations the pinnacle of faith and obedience. If Abraham could be faithful in such an extreme example....certainly we have the ability to pass through lesser tests that we all face on a regular basis.

That's not the question. You're 100% convinced that you are talking to God and not Satan. Do you kill your child?

The story of Abraham
