In their most recent mock drafts, Dane Brugler and Pat Kirwan of CBS Sports.com have Collins going 10th overall to the St. Louis Rams (Brugler) and 9th overall to the New York Giants (Kirwan). Two other new mock drafts have Collins being drafted soon after that, with ESPN’s Todd McShay putting him at 11th overall to the Minnesota Vikings and CBS Sports.com’s Rob Rang going with Collins at 12th overall to the Cleveland Browns.
Sounds like pretty much everyone is interested in La'el, and if there's that much interest, someone may make a move to get him.

Goes to show how stupid all the people were to be all beside them self about us taking him at 13, saying that was too soon.
Yeah lots of things are changing, I'm gonna have to update my mock soon.

We may have to trade up to the #10 spot to get one of Scherff/Collins. Oh well, hopefully our front office has a plan in place. Both of them would likely take our offense to the next level imo.

The LSU love/hate on this board can be retarded.

I agree i want one of them super bad!!! I really dont want to trade up though.
Our pick is worth 1150 and the 10 is worth 1300 so we would have to trade a next year pick since we dont really have anything to give for the move....

Depends how in love with a player at that spot teams are. If they have multiple guys ranked evenly, picking up an extra third round pick may tickle their fancy.

I'd give up a 3rd rounder in the 2016 draft to do it. It's a big price to pay to move up 3 spots...but I think it's the right move in the grand scheme of things.

Not according to that moron Ive been arguing with on this thread that thinks the only picks that have any value is first round picks.
Anyway yeah I would give up a 3 next year to do it in a second!

Having someone you can plugin at any position on the o-line and them be productive is immensely valuable. Giving up a third rounder to get him wouldn't bother me one bit.
I really want Collins or Fowler, but i think moving up for Fowler is going to cost too much even though i think very highly of him.

Yeah I agree

Value-wise, and depending on who is there obviously, using a 3rd to move up from #31 to around #20 , or using both 3rds to move up in the 2nd seems like good moves.

No we were talking about using a 3rd next year to move up from 13 to 10 to draft La'el or Scherff
Wouldnt have to do that if we wouldve just lost to Tampa last year.

If we can get La'el and then Gregory starts dropping and we move back up for him while keeping our 2nd rounder, that would be awesome.
Yeah i'm a dreamer
Yeah i'm a dreamer

Would be awesome.....I don't know if they would take Gregory though, with them clearing out the problem guys and all.

Shiiiid you need some problem guys on defense. This ain't Iowa son, good ole boys who wouldn't dare miss church on Sundays don't cut it. We need guys that will hold the flashlight steady while Sean is breaking into the pain killer cabinet.
Seriously tho, I want Fowler and Gregory at OLB. Beasley is a bust waiting to happen IMO and i don't trust Dupree enough to take him at 13. If we can move back and grab another 3rd then i guess i could live with him.

From what i see on online draft sites about 20 players with a first round grade an between 50 to 70 with 2nd round grades. If this true to me trade back at pick 31st an pick up a mid 2nd an 3rd an as part of the deal exchange pick 154th in the 5th for a 4th rd pick. This would give the saints 1 player with a first rd grade an 6 with 2nd rd or high 3rd round grades. An if with the 4th round pick take best player whatever position it should be 7 players who shoud make the final 53 roster. Please with saints having fewest picks of all nfl teams past few years no no- no trade ups the saints need good depth do not fall in love with a player.from what i hear The qb at pick 31 trade with jets had a very good pro day an may move into the 3rd rated qb in the draft. If so with drew at age 36 an the backup at 34 i would be tempted to draft him if not at 31 then at 44th pick.My dream draft is a few trade downs an end up with 12 draft picks add the average 3 ufda who make the team this would go a long way to making up for the lack of draft picks the past few years.

This would never happen. Look at the pick value chart right up there ^^^^^^^^^^^^ your values are all screwed up.
Will You and Bengaltyger4life please just go away.

Also, for any not familiar with South Carolina as of late, it's a program going through a bit of a split. On one hand you have guys like Marcus Lattimore, Stephon Gilmore, and (love him or hate him) DJ Swearinger. These are guys who built that program, will give you everything they have, and max their talent out to the most of their abilities.
On the other hand you have the Clowney crew who skates by on physical gifts and not much else. Cann falls into that crew. He's not someone who will bring it every play. We don't need any of that shite.
You're a complete moron. Cann started for 4 years and blocked for Lattimore and Davis and dominated Clemson 3 out of 4 years. GTFO with your BS.
Not to mention, Clowney looked like he was trying in 2011 when he set the sack record at your pathetic stadium. Then again, maybe he didn't have to try too hard to set that against y'all.
Cann excels at run blocking and think he would be a good fit in Nola given how it looks like that's where we're headed as an offense.

I should have clarified, but my example was independent of the scenario you all were talking about with trading up for Collins. Say, if Dupree falls to 20, which is highly likely, giving up a 3rd to jump from #31 to #20 seems like pretty good value.

I wouldn't get too worked up. While FN seems to know what he's talking about in most instances, he tends to overvalue Clemson players a little too much, and shite on rivals player a little too much as well. Not much different than some of our resident LSU fans.
