So b/c he sat behind a guy that won 2 national championships, a 109 yard FG kick return from his 3rd in a row, runner-up Heisman, and Alabama's career and season passing leader, you assume Sims did not know how to run the offense effectively

Well they did have a transfer QB come in that was thought to be the frontrunner until game1.

Attended the scrimmage on Saturday and Harris really struggled out there. He missed wide open receivers, looked very timid in the pocket, and exhibited very poor body language. The pick that he threw in the red zone was horrible. People can blame Miles all they want, but Harris has been his own worst enemy.
Yeah, the scrimmage in your back yard.

Trey Quinn is in the top 2 for scrimmage TDs behind Chark at number 1 with 5 TDs reported. So I would not say Quinn has the "drops".

This is junior Jennings 3rd spring and Miles referred to them in the presser as both being in yr 2!. He said it was the offense's best day but did not give the nod to either for the 3rd scrimmage which was a 50% red zone and third and long affair. He did definitively say both were improving and giving the extra expected of 2nd year QBs.

We expect them to not only execute the offense, their play, but also give us experience at the play caller, understand where we want to go, what we are supposed to do, and you know just a little heightened expectation (Are you seeing that?) Yeah, oh yeah.

Dead Heat: Neither has separated himself into that Quality QB he is looking to find. As reported by Tiger Rag's press transcription Miles is reportedly looking for a 70% passer (where is the link to the 70% Miles comment? Did Miles really say this?)

Harris was upbeat as usual and reminded everyone of the Spring Game. Last year he ran away with it, 4 TDs: 3 TDs passing, 1 rushing, top rusher. AJ, two pick six INTs and one passing TD.

Kiffin and Saban installed a totally new offense for Sims to fit his dual-threat athletic ability. Plus prior to 2014, in 3 years Sims had only attempted 39 passes, 23 comp, 280 yds, (less than Harris and half the yds) had 67 rushes for 354 yds as a running back, had one reception as a WR, and had spent plenty of time as a defensive back.

SDS: Blake Sims was a senior this year, but he’d never taken significant snaps at quarterback behind three-year starter AJ McCarron and had spent plenty of time in the program at running back and defensive back. That he came in and played lights out for the majority of the season is a huge accomplishment.
