Far from an OT baller just owned a place in a hot area in NJ, just across the river from NYC. Garage and backyard which people pay extra for.

We looked at buying this small condo for an investment property and this small one bedroom, about 800 sq feet with a deck and a nice view of NYC, generated a bidding war. List price was 245k and it sold for 285k

Then you didn't save anywhere near $50K unless you are bad at math.

ETA: You also had a bidding war because you listed it too cheap FYI. A Realtor would have been able to tell you this.
