He had an impressive showing, threw a devastating straight left, right hook combo at the end of the 3rd rd, Gonzalez never recovered.

Glad to see Russell get the win and if he wasn't so poorly developed coming up he would have won his first title at least two years ago.
That said, he needs to stop his whining and excuse making for getting whipped by Lomachenko. He needs to just realize he got totally outclassed by a better fighter and leave it alone. If he wouldn't have signed with Al Haymon and fought nobodies for 20+ fights he might've actually won 3 or 4 rounds in that fight.
And I bet Abner Mares comes running for his rematch with Gonzalez now since he just got laid out by a light hitting southpaw. Mares has become a punk b!tch since Gonzalez wrecked him. Mares is a multidivision world champ and he just fought an off-tv bout against the guy Lomachenko KO'd in his pro debut
