I don't think anyone has problem answering a question from an officer about a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
It is all the other silliness that transpired. Call for backup, run the numbers, handle the weapon; we are talking presumed innocence.
The cop surely made the 5 minute stop into at least a 1/2 hour just b/c OP had a perfectly legal weapon in the car and disclosed such.
Oh well, at least it wasn't NOPD. That gun woulda got gone.
