Vice isn't leaving Denham Springs. He can be the play caller for an all american candidate running back for at least 2 more years. If he leaves, it's going to be for a big head coaching job somewhere. What better way to build your resume, than to have it as a highlight video for a recruit like he has now.

Maybe he wants to be the head coach in waiting at PAHS after Sid leaves for the Broadmoor Job in a couple of years.
