I am pro punishing the guy, but not kicking him off the team. Suspend him, make him publicly apologize, make him run until he vomits then run some more. All of that maybe.

Unless the kid has a history, the punishment is way too harsh.

I don't know about that. I'm sure if you or I posted that on our public twitter, we could be fired from our jobs. Kicking him off of the team is the same thing
