I entered my 3rd phase of USN Nuclear training, and this E-6 shows up out of nowhere and joins our class.

It's impossible for anyone to achieve E-6 in the time frame (~2 years) most of us were in, and that was what happened with him.

He had gone through the first 2 phases, was picked up for a USN scholarship and was at Prairieview for 8 full semesters before asking to come back to the enlisted Nuclear program. He couldn't stand, i.e. survive, 1 more semester for 1 class needed for him to graduate and the Navy granted his request and put him in our class.

He said he was shot at more than once on campus.

The difference is many black people feel justified in being openly racist and hateful, but then turn around and throw a fit if they even think someone is remotely racist. It's baffling. I've seen it in person, though not to that degree.
