Carley Hoover pitching style

I just watched the replay of the LSU softball team beat Oklahoma and I was wondering if anyone knows why Carley Hoover bends all the way down to start her pitch? I've never watched competitive softball before so I don't know if that is a common style or not and just curious. Thanks in advance fellow Tigers.

Very uncommon. I presume that is her method for timing and to reinforce her leg drive.
It was a pretty golden style tonight!

She didn't throw like that in HS either. Not sure if they changed something mechanically because of her injury last year.

Not at all uncommon. Generally used to flex the back and gain more momentum for the start of the windmill motion.

I've seen pitchers, usually the taller ones, use that style. Monica Abbott used it when Tennessee was rolling.

It makes the pants tight. C. Toe flexer position.
