Jones style of staying out of the way might actually work next year with Simmons and company coming in. He is so polished that a coach that lets you just do as you please can work. I really would love to see Jones get back to coaching like he did in the first half, he was fired up last night for that first half. He needs to learn how to work a ref during the game. N.C. state was getting ticky tack fouls called against us, while on the other end they were able to hack away. It probably wouldn't have mattered last night since we went into choke mode at the line but its something Jones can improve on.

he was definitely engaged, the whole team was, till they went on that first little mini run that cut it from 16 to 9 and the whole team kind of fell out of their groove. i was confident when they got it back to 14 but then the bottom started to fall out

I hated seeing Jones being head cheerleader. I think he could have found some coachable moments to keep them centered.

Also, I don't agree on the refs, we got to the line more than double than NCState. I really think he should worry more about ingame management of players and scheme.

Every game goes with the exact same script, it has just gotten old.
