forgot about that, got to more to it, there are a couple of sizable "homeless" communities there, and of course there's a lot of drug activity there as well, could have been in the wrong place wrong time doing something wasn't supposed to be doing

I doubt it. Knew of this man. He was a hard core family man and very open Christian. Did not have much money with a huge family, and was trying to get into nursing, if I recall the story. I think one issue was that he didn't have money for living expenses, and was living in some type of shelter. Not sure on all those details, but I know there was no even suspecting of this guy doing drugs, or being involved in anything seedy.

There's drug activity everywhere, and I would strongly assume that's exactly what happened. A freak accident thing sadly, but not enough to stir up anxiety that you have a good chance of encountering violence in the area.
