What I said about Boyhood is what every other of its detractors has said... the gimmick was not enough to carry a long movie without a compelling plot.

What "gimmick"? Explain. Whatever it is, it worked. Boyhood was an excellent movie IMO, with groundbreaking direction, really solid acting AND it was compelling even though it was just about nuances of life. It was a very difficult movie to make, one that very few directors could.

Or not explaining why Boyhood and Birdman lacked appeal, as I did then? Here's a tip for YOU: you didn't write, direct, produce, or star in any of those movies. You really have no excuse to be butt-hurt by somebody else's opinions of them.

Thanks for the non-tip. I'm not butthurt, I just think your a shitty poster on this board lately. And you are not giving your opinions, you are just trashing high profile movies and saying stupid shite to get a rise out of people while pretending have an understanding of these movies enough to be able to critique them. You don't, you clearly don't get Boyhood. Here is what you said:

Don't we all have enough boring people in our OWN lives to care about? What was the point of this non-movie? Nothing remarkable happens, which means YOU might as well invite me over to your house to watch your old home movies.

You missing the point and the fact that nothing wild or sexy happens does not mean the movie sucks or is a "non-movie". And nowhere in your post do you give your opinion, you just make dumb, snide remarks.
