I figured it WOULD have everything needed to run the emulators. What I was getting at is how much from the kit is necessary for it?
I have a large box of electronic components that I have accumulated over the years, and I think I have a good bit of what comes with that kit. Just trying to figure out if it would be worth it to get the kit or just the Pi and use what I already have.

You could probably save a few bucks.
I think that case is like $10. It and the wireless USB adapter are the only things in that kit most people don't have laying around already, but the SD card comes preloaded with NOOBS which is the OS install manager for Pi. You could always set up your own SD card with it, but it might be worth the extra $25 that kit costs just to have everything ready that you need.
