ACT spinoff- trying to improve scores

A couple of our kids on the baseball team are stuck on scores and can't seem to improve. What's out there that's actually practical that can help? One needs TOPs and the other is trying to get to the next level of TOPs.

I took an SAT prep class way back when and it definitely helped. I'm certain there are similar ones here for the ACT.

scored a 32 while detoxing from a bad heroin addiction.
That was when I was in the 5th grade though. Probably could do better today.

Adderall.
ETA: But seriously, practice tests. Over and over again.

Practice, practice, practice. That is the only way to learn how to take a standardized test if you are not a naturally good test taker. Also when they are doing practice problem tell them to set a timer so they can get used to the timed aspect of the test. When I was studying for the MCAT and we had 1.25min/question I practiced with 1min/question and I finished with plenty of time left in all the sections. The time before I had practiced with 1.25min/question and I had time problems.

Just be careful. When I was in college studying, there was a guy giving ACT prep courses at the library, all he did was give them practice tests and would occasionally help them. I suppose it may been worth it for the sheer fact they felt compelled to actually study and not frick off, but he probably could have "taught" more, I think.

I don't know where you are, but find a college that offers a prep class and take it.
For four weeks before they take the ACT they need to follow this anc regiment:
Monday night: Practice English test
Tuesday night: Practice Math test
Wednesday night: Practice Reading test
Thursday night: Practice Science Reasoning test
Friday night: Chase poon
Saturday Morning: Full practice test
Sunday: Nothing
Repeat all the way to the ACT. Ive seen 5 point bumps in this method. When you actually take the ACT, its the 8th time you have taken a full ACT in a month.

Took Adderall and my grade went from a 24 to a 32. Biggest jump was reading, which went from 17 to 30
