Creating simple riffs that blow up and become the sounds of a generation put you on those very list. You dont have to play fancy to be a great guitarist. You have to create raw emotion and energy and his guitar did that.

He was influential with his angst and emotion with his lyrics and phrasing more so than his guitar IMO. I'm sorry, I just can't include Kurt with people like Hendrix, Duane Allman, BB King, Buddy guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy page, David Gilmour, Albert King, Clapton... And MANY others. That'd be a joke to me.

Him as a front man, the angst, the passion, that's what I think of when I hear Cobain.
