Are you sure the flat rate repair is a possible option when the computer has been water damaged? I don't think they let you do the flat-rate repair when the cause of the failure was something like being dropped, spilled on, etc.

I've sent several in for flat rate repair from water damage, drop, etc and they have covered it. Of course there have been times when they will call and say something may have changed and the tier pricing may go up, but it's always been cheaper than bringing it to be repaired.
