I second the fly rod option.






For ultralight though,

Bubble and fly (adams or small wooley bugger or woolly worm is deadly). Small pulls and then let fly sink then repeat.

Tiny torpedo just like working a torpedo for bass.

Without a swivel or weight, rig either a small plastic crappie tube body or a small curly tail grub on a small baitkeeper hook. Use a constant retrieve or stop and go.

Small floating Rapala minnow. Work like jerkbait for bass only slower.

Any of the REBEL small diving insect imitations (grasshopper, catalpa worm, bumble bee). very slow stop and go

Any of the CREME or BURKE pre rigged small soft plastic baits (frog, hellgrimite, cricket, hopper) Super Slow

Cutie pie or cutie spin (these are weighted) constant retrieve with rare pauses
