The committee doesn't look at how many teams are or aren't getting in from particular conference. Nor do they simply compare conf. opponents to one another. Just because A&M gets in doesn't mean LSU can't and vice-versa.

I agree with you about A&M. LSU really isn't a helpful matchup for them. Beating LSU for a 3rd time doesn't add anything to the resume. Likewise, for LSU, losing to A&M shouldn't hurt their resume. It's easy for the committee to justify the 3 losses to A&M as just a bad matchup for LSU

A&M desperately needs a win over a "good" team other than LSU. IMO, a potential LSU/A&M round 3 creates much more of an opportunity for LSU than it does for A&M
