Making it against the law to harass a person with death and rape doesnt take away freedoms that dont hurt people.

It takes away the "freedom" to try to scare the shite out of a person that you don't agree with.

B/c really, what are people who do this doing?

They aren't trying to make a political point. They aren't trying to engage in legitimate discussion. They aren't trying to do anything other than scare somebody into shutting up b/c they don't like them for whatever reason.
