I think there are plenty of good places to eat are in Alex (maybe bc I grew up eating at these places)... My favorite pizza (BJ's), favorite crawfish (Debarge's), favorite chinese (The Wok but it is under new ownership now 
)

Maybe for you. I try not to be a snob, but I really do dislike it. I feel their is no variety.
I think if you took the best from Alex and pit it against the middle of the pack in BR or Laf then Alex would lose in a land slide.
I do however like the Shrimp Friend Rice from The Wok.
