As the driver changing lanes it's her responsibility to make sure she has enough room to do so. She didn't. She gambled that she could force her way in just so she wouldn't have to wait behind the other, slower 18-wheeler. She lost. Maybe she'll learn a lesson from this.
This is true. And evidenced by my accident that I described above. I was passing the semi on the right (I needed to exit right at a split). He apparently didn't see me and made a lane change into my back bumper, spun me in front of him, and pushed me down the expressway. He got a ticket, I got nothing and about $3,000 more for my car than I was planning on getting in trade because my agent allowed me to have it totaled

Not gonna say he was right or wrong but when I drove a truck, you move over when you have the chance.
Cars do not want to let you in front of them in the left (passing) lane, regardless of that truck going 10 mph slower in front of you.
So when you do move over after finding a gap, many cars try to take advantage of how early you moved over and pass you on the right like in the video.
