Hmmm... Go to Mizzou and have no money left over for grad school, go to Wash U and be in massive debt, go to St. Louis U and be in deep debt, or go to LSU for free and be able to pay for grad school... Hmmmm...

How did you get free from living in Missouri?

Nephews finished at John Burroughs. One just finished Tufts, other at Wash U. They grew up in Kirkwood. Cool place.
Mine want to go from BR to UT. Trying to figure out how.

I'm from Spring, Texas (outskirts of Houston) and I came to LSU because they gave me a scholarship and it wasn't AtM. Almost everyone I went to high school with became Aggies and I wanted to see something different and the atmosphere at LSU was amazing. I got in touch with alumni in Houston and I had a meeting with a current professor during my visit to campus and I was sold. Best decision I've ever made.

There's a buttload of them at Arkansas. I think all the state schools surrounding Texas are trying to attract them.

Desire all along was to leave Missouri. Had no desire to repeat high school, so Mizzou and Missouri State were out. Wash U was too damn much money for a liberal arts degree, which is what I wanted and knew I'd be going to law school or getting my MFA. Nearly went to U of Miami, but decided, despite the scenery and the 2/3 scholarship, free was better. Plus LSU's English department is actually pretty good and all of my college credit transferred. Pretty good decision, IMO.

And Kirkwood is a cool area. Redeveloping when I was in high school. John Burroughs is a damn fine school, too.
