Lsu's offensive totals will always be lower because of a ball controlled offense and the fact that we rarely run a hurry up no huddle.So even when we have a high powered offense our totals are low because we dont run a bunch of plays.

Our defensive totals will almost always be ranked high because of our ball control offense doesnt give the other teams offense a lot of plays.

Points per play and yards per play,on offense and defense,are more pure stats because it isnt skewed by TOP or plays ran. Maybe i wasnt explaining it well enough

we run the gopher, look at me offense with no passing game. That's not what you described.

TOP doesnt mean the defense will be good. The defense also has to stop the other team.

No. Points per play is total points.

Yards per play is the best metric for both offense and defense to see how effective they are...
