yea, and that would be fine as long as it is clear, up front, and verbally explained. And it probably is supposed to be that way, although I doubt it is.
But I do support usury laws. Society ends up paying the price if these deals are too ridiculous.

No, dumbasses pay the price and businesses win.
They are very clear about what you're paying and what you're getting.
If they lied or hid something, that should be against the law.
