I can't find anything in the news about it but the stock is down almost $50 today

Boston Beer—The maker of Sam Adams beer earned $1.40 per share for its latest quarter, 3 cents above estimates, but revenue and 2015 guidance are well below analyst forecasts. The beer brewer said it would need to increase spending on advertising, promotion, and sales this year, to support existing brands and roll out new ones.

Well shite. I looked on my account and couldn't find that. Guess I should have done a quick google search.

A beer stock would scare me right now. So many micro brewers popping up. The selection at the store is beyond confusing at this point. It seems there isn't much barrier to entry.
Anyone have any thoughts along those lines?

I've been eyeing BUD (InBev) - has such global reach for a solid consumer staple. Plus good at acquiring microbrews once they build a solid base like Goose Island (though that wasn't a full on purchase) and one in Oregon whose name eludes me at the moment. Haven't bought any though.

People buy a lot of beer in an improving economy. People buy expensive craft beer in a great economy.
Problem is... most of the great craft brewers aren't public traded.

You also have the matter of Sam Adams no longer being "cutting edge". It is in a different stage of it's business cycle now.
