I'm not trying to say that historical injustices against blacks are not the root cause of the situation. I believe we should take it as a given that if the history of blacks in America was different then things would be different now. I'm just saying that it's crazy to ignore the proximate effects of the current culture on the way these children behave.
Whatever happened in the past, this inner city culture is currently broken, it's ruining the lives of countless people, and it makes zero sense to try to fix the ultimate effect (suspensions, arrests, etc) while ignoring the immediate cause.
