Can someone recommend a knife/machete combo?

I'm looking for something a lot shorter than a machete, maybe like 10 inch blade, but I can keep on my hip. I'd like for to have a heavy blade so I can have the kinetic energy to do some chopping and stripping. I was watching dual survival the other night and the guy Matt Graham had a night very similar to what I'm looking for. He chopped through a 4 inch diameter tree relatively easy. I'd also like it to be short enough to sharpen or strip bark etc.

the SOG seal team elite has a 7" blade, so it is a little smaller than what you are asking for, but I have one and it is a hell of a big knife...check it out...
