I think people look down upon trashy people, more so than blue collar workers. It just so happens that a larger portion of trashy people work blue collar jobs vs white collar.
I would never look down upon someone because of their job, there are so many other reasons to look down on people
ETA: the amount of money you make doesn't determine if you're trashy. There are many OFT people who bring in six figures, but are trashier than an account or nurse making 60k.
