I'd say that is a valid reason to move if you are a parent and don't want to or cannot afford private school. It's pretty sad that in cities like BR...it's just accepted that the public schools are crap and you better either move out the city to a better school district or fork up the money for private.

It's not. Much like other towns the surrounding communities to BR have publics that are tolerable, and there are a few, albeit limited magnet programs in BR school district that are the same. The difference between most perceived "good" schools is relatively minor if you are an engaged parent.
