So maybe CJJ could start calling timeouts during 12-0 runs to stop the momentum. Last night was not the exception, it is the norm.

Calipari let LSU go on a 16-0 run and didn't call a timeout. Coaches use their timeouts differently. I know everyone hates Johnny's late game timeout plays, but it's nice to have 1 or 2 at the end of a game to fall back on

Calipari specifically said that he did that because he was trying to teach them a lesson after getting a stupid technical and to play through it. You have that luxury when you are 26-0 and a lock for a #1 seed, not a team that is on the bubble outside looking in. CJJ has misused TOs all season while giving up huge runs.

I agree with you to some extent - different coaches do indeed use timeouts differently based on their team's emotional makeup and the particular game situation.

However, I'm inclined to give Calipari a pass on his in-game tactics against LSU since, well, you know, HIS TEAM IS UNDEFEATED THIS YEAR.
