3 7-footers left on the bench. Instead we get killed in the paint. I agree. Dale Brown actually put in time to develop Shaq and Roberts before him. Is there any proof that CJJ has done the same with the 2 7-footers he has?

No offense but these two guys were ready for the NBA when they got to campus. That's an apples to watermelon comparison at best. Dale's involvement with developing them was improving their physical training regimens and getting Bill Walton to spend two weeks with the pair in the late summer of 1989.

We've had potential tournament rosters every year with Jones. People act like he's built us to this point, but I still have dissapointment in the previous years. Hamilton and O'Bryant play in the NBA. Not Europe or anywhere else. The NBA. 2 NBA post players and no tourney. Carmouche, Coleman, Hickey, Stringer, and Turner were all legit college basketball players. I think if Turner had stayed it would have been a big difference the past 2 years, same with Hickey for this year.

You know how I know you are a moron?

Because Justin Hamilton and Ralston Turner never even played for Johnny Jones. Let's fire Johnny Jones because Trent Johnson didn't make the NCAA Tourney his last year with Turner and Hamilton.

still missing the point. lsu should be nearly the same as ark right now. we're not even in the same universe as them on the court. there's no way ole miss, a&m and georgia have more talent than lsu. that's 3 teams that are clearly playing more consistent basketball. yes, even georgia

One of the problems with this team is that they have hardly any help from off the bench when starters struggle.... It was great to see Bridgewater have a very good game last nite....every team has a few white boys on the bench as tokens, but we also two 7 footers and a 6' 9 and 6' 8 project that haven't contributed at all so far this season other than giving the starters a breather... Makes it hard to compete playing only 6 or 7 deep a whole basketball season...

How are old rosters relevant to how we are performing now? We are playing far below our potential now.

I think he's saying we should be glad that we're underperforming and missing the tournament rather than living up to potential and still missing the tournament. At least this way we still have next year

I'm willing to give Elbert Robinson another offseason, because I was ready to write off Tim Quarterman after last year, but man he's been solid this season, hopefully we see the same improvement into year 2 with Big Elbert

Mike Anderson is in year 4 at Arkansas. Johnny Jones is in year 3.

Lets compare Mike Anderson & Jines through year 3, Johnny with at least 6 more games this year.

Anderson 59-39 26-26 SEC

Jones 57-34 25-24 SEC at present

Jones at worst will likely win at least 3 of the 6 known games. so he would be 60-37 and 27-27 SEC.

Regardless of how it plays out even if he loses all six games there would not be a lot of difference in their records.

A&M may be slightly ahead but I am not convinced they will go deeper into the post season than LSU. They have probably hit their ceiling, there is more upside to LSU but its time for it to surface.

Georgia is about in year six of Mark Fox tenure and we are seeing a slightly upgraded version of his best buddy Trent Johnson''s teams.

LSU can be that team that goes on a post season run, but can just as easily be one and done. This program is closer than you may think to really taking off. It is all in the mindset. So yes, be patient, but don't be surprised either way.
