I had some cool plans drawn up to do something like this on my empty lot where my house used to be pre-Katrina. It would've been elevated and multistory, and I could've done most of the work for cheap, minus the crane work needed to lift them in place. I also had the building codes figured out, but the city code people and planning commission would've fought me the whole way. The end result would've been about 1300 sq. feet.
