Universally considered a reach? He was the best college hitter in the draft

He was and was considered universally as a reach because he doesn't have a position that will carry into ML.
And he's done nothing in his 2 months of pro ball to change what he did as a reach at #4.
The Cubs' farm is overhyped, and one reason is that a) the Cubs overhype it (and much of the info. that the rankers like Law and BA and BP get is from GMs and teams) and b)Theo.
Theo, of course, over-hyped his RedSox farms system, so this is carried over.
The Cubs may have the best system, I don't know, but it's hyped to the point that it's not just rated #1, but the prospects are absolutely can't miss (Bryant is the only one who belongs in that category).
But as long as Theo's there, it will always be hyped above its quality.
