Just my opinion but I think 12 to 14 guys in this class need to be at these positions. Maybe more. What say you.

Need? At the very least 10. Our depth on the D line could be pretty solid until 2017, so 6 linemen all together and 4 linebackers. Maybe one or two athletes that could play either DE/OLB.

It's going to be hard numbers wise. You want 4-5 offensive linemen in every class. Two QB's in this class, then at the very least 2 receivers, maybe three, with one tight end, and maybe a runningback. That's 10 spots at least just on offense. Probably closer to 12-13.

Then we also need 3 safeties in this class, with maybe one extra CB who can play multiple positions. Even though we have talent at CB, it's still very hard to turn away a potential beast at CB, so we could take 3-4 CB's. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see 6-7 DB's in this class

It's going to be a numbers crunch in the end. Hopefully we can get 27-28 guys for next years class. With 12 for the front 7.

4 to 5 DTs..... Probably 5 or 6 backers..... 3 DEs. Need top 10 guys at each position also. I think we get them too. Maybe not all 5 or 6 backers in the top 10 but at least 3 or 4 and then grab some with super upside which we are doing. It's going to be a good year for the front 7 in 2016 IMO. Maybe the best ever?!

Add
LB add 3 or 4 on top of Chattman, as well as moved Voorhies to lB

DE add 3 more on top of the possibility of Stephen Sullivan's prospect of being a DE. You'd have to think that someone may get processed at the end of 2015 at DE (and DT like M. Johnson) if they cannot get on the field.

DT Add 3, but only because it would be sickening not to get Lawrence, Alexander and Logan. Want to add every single La DT prospect, but where would they go?
So much DT depth.

Also got to think that Ed Orgeron will try to get the best out of Glimore, Bain and Herron. That actually could mean that we don't need DT's but you can't pass up this sick amount of talent in-state this year......Therefore the need for DT's may be overstated if O can light a fire under those three. They will not get a pass this year. LMFAO and Valentine need to show promise, but not as much as Bain, Herron, and Glimore, due to their amount of time at the program.

But again, if Logan, Lawrence and Alexander commit, they stay and we will have the most depth/prospect talented DLine EVER at LSU. Also, could you imagine throwing in B Guidry and Ed Oliver? That would be TWELVE DT's. I suppose that Guidry and Stephon Taylor could be a strongside Defensive End. Also heard that Ed Alexander has the feet to play DE....(holy shite).

There are some options if Gilmore/Bain/Herron don't work out. Herron could go back to DE. Bain and Gilmore go to OLINE or they have run out of options for their future at this program.

An overwhelming amount of Dline numbers already for 2016, but a deficit for LB.

While it will depend on underclassman losses to the NFL, I tend to agree this will be a front 7 "heavy" class.

Up to 4 or 5 in each position group, possibly - although a lot will depend on how younger DEs work out - certainly 4 DTs and 4 LBs - 3 or 4 DEs - will be the floor.
