I find it odd that there are people acting as if CT is a liability at safety. Before his injury he was actually working his way to taking people's spots. Guy seemed like a faster, more instinctive Ronald Martin, whom many on this site defended and acted like he was NFL caliber. CT is better than RM. If he stays healthy and hasn't lost speed I think you'll see him on the field a good bit. That size and speed....
Oh, and D Thomas is a difference maker. Hope he recovers fully.

But he's got the potential to be the biggest difference maker on the defense since TM7.
might I introduce you to one Jamal Adams.

I always thought Thompson was a tad slow, and that he was a prime candidate to be Chavis' next safety to LB project if the Chief stuck around. it'll be interesting to see how things shake out, Steele had some smallish OLBs at Clemson, maybe a few of whom had been safeties.

No shot. Martin had 72 tackles and 2 picks, one which won us a game. Thompson is unproven and frankly there's too much talent in front of him. I honestly think with his 6'2" 220 frame he'd make a solid outside linebacker

Donte and KT were two of the 3 best cornerbacks in their class. KT has a bit of a leg up going through spring, but they are both going to be making noise next season.

Considering he got more pressure than probably our entire front 4 combined I'd say he's a need just for that.

Exactly and I think a lot of people, including myself are expecting Tolliver to start next year opposite of white. He's gonna be great and I think he'll match up really well against the large physical guys, an area where white has struggled.
I just mentioned Donte because I don't think a lot of people get just the kind of althete he is.

And I hope you know mills plays safety.
Started at corner as a true freshmen and played there until the end of his soph year. With us being thin at experienced corners I could totally see him moving to corner until KT is ready. All that being said, your guess is as good as mine

Jeremy Curter will be ready too

As big as Cory Thompson is, think he could be good candidate to move down to LB. Put some more size on and with his coverage ability. Good Weak side LB

Agree buford4LSU, All this talk about Voorhes moving to LB. I figured Thompson was more a fit there and he seems bigger as well.

I assume it's going well since he posted this yesterday

I know. He got switched after it was pretty evident that White and Robinson could beat him and Collins out and Ronald Martin was one of the only safeties we had. But there's absolutely no chance he's gonna switch back to corner with the guys we have coming in.

When has experienced mattered? Les likes starting true freshman at corner he did it with peterson, mathieu, Collins, mills, white, and robinson. If anything the guys we have coming in with Tolliver and Donte Jackson have a higher ceiling and skill set coming out of high school than most of those guys, besides peterson.
And I think with Tolliver enrolling early and participating in spring practice is gonna win the starting job.
