Does that include postseason games? Or only regular season?

One thing you notice about the best coaches... they have the best teams.

Best "talent" would be the better descriptor.

you mean to tell me that the best coaches have the most wins? damn.

I remember Pop when he was a Captain in the Air Force and coached the Prep School team at the Air Force Academy in the '70s. And yes, he was the same personality 40 years ago.

Pop has been lucky to have a lot of talent. But he's also done a fantastic job of cultivating talent and sustaining it. Would other coaches have been able to turn Parker and Ginobili into stars? Or been able to keep Tim Duncan in San Antonio for his entire career?

I do believe Duncan is the best player aside from Shaq post-MJ.
But the Spurs, Lakers, and Bulls had plenty of talent before Pop and Jackson came along.

I was joking. Obviously the best coaches have the best teams. That's what makes them the best coaches...

I'll admit my memory isn't what it used to be, but besides the Admiral, who did the Spurs have? Avery Johnson maybe??
Posted on 2/9/15 at 8:47 pm to COTiger
Monty Williams and Dell Demps

Sean Elliot, Rodman, Willie Anderson, Alvin Robertson, Rod Strickland, etc.
Larry Brown and Bob Hill won 50-60 games with those teams, but no championship.
