If you don't mind paying the extra $800+ every year, that's fine. I do mind. It's a waste of money IMO.

Your wife can figure out how to find all of her shows online. It's not difficult.

As for your kids, if they're young, Netflix, Prime and the multitude of other apps will provide enough content to keep them happy. If they're older, they already know how to do this stuff.

I agree it's not. If I was single, I would no doubt have cut the cord and leached off others HBO/Cox accounts.

But, when the internet is down, or the website is down, or her computer fritzes out and the kid is crying and just wants to watch Mickey Mouse, or whatever it sho is easy just to turn on the box and there it is.

To me, it's a pretty decent product for $70-80/month. Hell it costs $80 for 1 trip to the movie theater for a family of four.
