I don't really buy the "it would jeopardize the integrity of the games" load of crap. I think it has more to do with them having a problem with state's collecting tax money off of their product and they haven't figured out a way to profit off if it just yet.



It's so fricking dumb. The casino industry is a highly regulated, multi-billion dollar business. The guy who runs the sports book at Caesar's Palace isn't going to be offering Drew Brees $20,000 to rig a game. They're making a killing at the casino from all the dopes who are throwing down money and don't know how to bet. Matter of fact, the last point shaving scandal in college basketball was triggered when a Vegas sports book noticed weird stuff was happening to the line and they let the authorities know.

I think it a case of the old-arse NFL owners thinking that Vegas is like it was in the 50s and 60s, and the greedheads who run the league being pissed that someone would make a buck off pro football and they couldn't get part of it
