is that your experience from your day trip on the carnival cruise? The dutch side does have a more party atmosphere but its not all 20 year old college kids, and the French side resembles nothing of panama.

No. Just basing it on herds of fat, midwestern tourists sporting their "St. Maarten" shirts in the Princess Juliana Airport where we make our connection from St. Barths.
