It sucks that these hostages are dying and the way they are dying, but they most likely knew that it was a possibility before they entered Syria, Iraq, etc. I don't at all think that ISIS should even be acknowledged in their ransom requests. That'll make taking hostages worthless to them if they don't ever get anything in return.

As long as you are not the hostage, what does it matter, huh.

What allows wars to occur are the smaller crimes being ignored.

A good politician would would immediately respond as the Jordanians proposed.

Haven't you heard that we now negotiate with terrorists? Why should anyone else on this planet do anything differently?
