But really i don't think Superbowl rings is a good metric. I know it is THE metric, but shitty QBs have won super bowls, and great ones haven't

Had present day QB rules been in place then, Montana could've easily won 2-3 more. Heck, his best team the 90 Niners would have gone if Montana hadn't been blindsided and roughed to the turf, nearly ending his career. That hit nowadays would have garnished an ejection.
