If we could hit a 3, we wouldn't have to settle for them. But since teams know that the only person on our team who can shoot is Hornsby, they just cover him and run a zone to lock down the paint. That's the only option.

Malone in my opinion is the cause of alot of the offensive struggles. He presents absolutely nothing on the offensive end. Can't pass, shoot, post-up. Nothing. He needs to be a sub only. Not playing 20-30 minutes. We need another guard or forward who can shoot the basketball to be getting more minutes to get teams out of that zone.

When our guards, Hornsby, Quarterman and Gray, go 10-39...we aren't going to win many games.

Hell no - don't blame him. We have this issue when he isn't even in the game. Martin had two points and TQ had 4 points (so 2 more than Malone had and he shot it 8 more times). We don't try to penetrate or feed it inside on offense and that's basically the reason they struggle so much when Hornsby isn't on. All a team has to do is play a zone against LSU and defend Hornsby.
