I've been patiently waiting for someone to mention Church Point. And I thought you guys were Mardi Gras connoisseurs.... drag races down mainstreet with quarter horses... doesn't get any better than that.

These are the things that make Nola the best IMO. Nola Mardi Gras is so versatile depending on what you want to do.

You can catch parades downtown and party down in the Quarter (not my cup of tea).

You can house party, crawfish boil, BBQ, in Mid city (Endymion) or Uptown (any number of parades), or party on the neutral ground.

If you don't like the parade nonsense you can attend balls.

And Mardi Gras day on the backstreets of the Quarter and the Marigny is truly a sight to behold. It's like the twilight zone.

If you can't find something fun to do during Mardi Gras in Nola there's no hope for you.
