The amazing thing is he was PGA player of the year just a year or two ago. He was close to turning the corner but just couldn't do it.
I wonder if things would be different if that snafu at the 2013 Masters hadn't happened. If he had gone on to win perhaps he would've gotten confidence back and been back to normal. As much as we are all writing his professional obit, it might just be matter of him just winning a major....of course that's easier said than done at the moment.

It may have made somewhat of a difference, especially from the confidence/psychological standpoint. However, I think most of his issues are physical. His body was doomed to break down given how much he bulked up earlier in his career (all legal or not) and the amount of torque that he used/uses. His style is not one built for longevity especially at the level he is used to.
