Maybe go somewhere that you can find actual drug dealers and felons? There is no reason to believe that there is more criminal activity at a gun show than any other place. In fact, background checks are constantly being run on the participants buying firearms.
The fact that the proposal was not carried out just confirms how misguided it was. In fifteen years when the person who proposed it has moved up the chain of command, it may get approved.

I really commend the vigilance of fellow pro gun citizens, but it really gets carried overboard a lot

Good God dude. It's not about more. I don't think many of you are thinking this through. I hope none of you are any type of investigative role.
