"If they see anyone that is going a bit too fast, they are going to contact their associates down on the deck, and the guys on the deck will stop them and say, 'You know what, you're going a little bit too fast on the causeway,'" Lake Pontchartrain Causeway Commission Executive Director Carlton Dufrechou said. "'And here's your ticket.'"
Interesting. If you contest the ticket, are they going to have both officers in court? If they only have the cop who gives you the ticket, then his testimony about how fast you were going is hearsay. If they only have the cop who was in the airplane, then his testimony that you were driving the car and were given the ticket is hearsay.

As a daily driver of the Causeway, this does not bother me one single bit.

I believe both officers are required to show up.
