This has been a really cool experience reading all of the personal stories. Seeing how common it is, and especially seeing how so many of you went on to have healthy pregnancies (sometimes soon after) has been really helpful. For both of us .

What you are doing is what you need to be doing. Bringing it here...baaaad idea.

My wife had one with her ex husband. We tried a few years ago and were so excited when she got pregnant. I went with her to every doctor appointment excpet one...she went to just do an ultrasound at 13 weeks. She called me freaking out because she had lost it. I felt like crap because I wasn't there for her. It was really tough, but the best thing was just being there for her. Luckily I have a very strong wife, and we tried again a few months after.
We now have a healthy 2 year old daughter that is the best thing to ever happen to us!

We were only like 9 weeks, but she's taking it pretty rough. I kind of feel helpless because I can't fix this, but I guess the only thing I can do is to be there for her.
Any other advice?
My wife and I experienced the same thing the first time she got pregnant. She was completely devastated and so was I. You said the only thing you can do is be there for her, your absolutely right. I didn't know how to deal with my wife and her emotions afterwards. She would push me away, and then expect comfort. I pulled away for a couple of weeks because I was unsure on how to cope with my feelings as well as hers. I look back now and know that I was wrong for pulling away. We made it through a rough patch and were able to find comfort in knowing that God had bigger plans for us. We have two healthy little shits now and couldn't be happier. Things will get better and you will become a stronger husband and father because of this.
