eat something. When you exert yourself, your body need energy. Carbs, calories, etc.

No way is anyone who works out on an empty stomach for 10 hours going to get as good of a workout as someone with energy. You don't see any athletes playing a game on an empty stomach.

You can loose more fat and maintain muscle by consuming less calories and still lift heavy weights.
