Had a friend that lives in Lebanon come home for the first time in years last week.

He said the thing that was most shocking was how fat everyone was. He never noticed it before living out of country for so long, but when he was walking through the airport when he landed he said it was glaringly obvious.

Just thought that was interesting. As a country, we are fat as shite. When I lived with a family in Paris in high school, we had small portions with several courses with each meal and a small drink. At first I was like "Whoa whoa whoa, I'm going to still be starving after this!", but I got used to it after a bit.

We do eat very large portions when compared to the rest of the world. I started to portion control myself a few years ago. It sucked at first but when you adjust you realize that you were over eating most of the time.
